Do you ever wish you could do more to support movements for the environment and vulnerable people and/or species? Do you feel helpless about so many things going wrong in the world? Are you unable to contribute to movements and charities in monetary or in-person/physical action types of ways?

There is another way to make a difference. You can engage in email activism. It does make a positive difference! How do you do it? You visit the page links below. Then fill out a form to take action. It's that simple! Email action campaigns by organizations that lobby and fight for justice for the environment and/or for vulnerable species, people, and policies is an invaluable tool of constructive activism.

Here is a list, in no particular order, of some of the most proven, trusted, and effective charitable organizations that you can sign up with, in order to regularly send emails to lobby and fight for important issues of our time.

The links take you directly to their TAKE ACTION pages:

However, I do recommend paying attention to details when filling out forms for taking action. Make sure that you check or uncheck any boxes below your information, so that you have the best experience possible.

For example, I never sign up for text messaging, so I'm careful to uncheck the box for that option, and I usually don't enter my phone number. And, I make sure to check the box that says I want to be alerted by email about other action campaigns the organization may have.

Also, I recommend that you check out any charity you're not sure about at Charity Navigator

If you have any organizations you would recommend, specifically ones that provide ongoing action campaigns for subscribers, please leave a comment on this page.

*UPDATE: One last thing to remember about signing up for these campaigns, some will add you automatically to an array of their mailings. Some organizations handle this better than others. If you receive unwanted emails, simply go to the bottom of the page and click "unsubscribe." Most of the time that will lead you to a page where you can opt out of emails that you don't want. Some make it easy. Others don't. That's the only downside.
